MONDAY MOURNING –
Another Monday has emerged. It happens every Monday.
As you know this is the only site in the cyber-world that covers the full national years of Bandstand called American Bandstand. So it is fitting that I present to you a small collection of photos of those American Bandstand Regular stars from that ’62 – ’63 period.
That translucent photo in the center is none other than a teenage Davey Frees, the president in good standing

SATURDAY I SAY –
Only a few famed photojournalists of the period over a half a century ago were allowed in the American Bandstand Studio B at 46th and Market Streets, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA to do photo shoots of the show for portfolios and magazines and the like. Those times were few and far between.
These are three from my Bruce Davidson series. They are pure poetry.
In the hundreds of interviews I have done with visitors to the show and American

The Keeper of the Keys of the magical kingdom is baaaaaaaaaaack!
Hi Bandstanders and Bystanders….
Well it’s the weekend — not that that means much for me in the magical kingdom. Sob! Sob! My work never ends. (Here you should all grab a pause and gather your thoughts and send me supportive words of encouragement, sympathy and caring. Thank you.)
Okay, you can stop pausing now.
I have been busy sorting things out — literally — of Bandstand’s

WEDNESDAY WOW!
Along with the daily website statistics, I receive a weekly report on the amount of photos which are viewed. These are the top four. Consistently, almost without exception, here you have your winners — all with regard to Pop Singer, the man who owned Pop Singer’s soda fountain shop that the Regulars and fans frequented down the block from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA’s American Bandstand.
It seems everyone’s favorite of favorites

WEARY WEDNESDAY WELCOME –
It has been a Tall Paul order these past couple of days. I’ve been like a mouse scurrying around the castle trying to hunt down trimmings for Cinderella’s ball gown.
The Bandstand’s Best t-shirts are arriving tomorrow. So that’s a good thing. Get ready for your order. With this warm weather in Manhattan, they are just the thing.
The new surprise is the Bandstand’s Best video in the works. It will be up and

MORE ON MONDAY –
I seem to have an Elvis kind of energy today. Nice, really, really nice.
Here are some rare brilliant color shots of a name known throughout the world — Elvis Presley.
In hand, each of these is approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches and in pristine condition. They are further color enhanced with my photoshop CS5 Extended bringing out the rich color clarity even more.
For a closer view, single and/or double click to enlarge the collage.
Well, as

MONDAY MORNING FROM YOUR MANHATTAN MAVEN!
Yes, oh yes, I am in a feisty mood this AM now PM.
The stats went through the roof last night with lots of our European visitors. I am full of global glee.
One of our beloved Regulars, none other than that Gibson girl herself, Kathleen, has given so many remarkable interviews over the years. If you have watched even a smidgen of them, you’ll notice she almost always points out how she was on the same page in the Teen

SUNDAY SAYONARA —
Well here is some of Sunday’s best, for your formal wear. Keep in mind, someday this keepsake will be worth a king’s ransom. I can just see the auction at Sotheby’s reaching astronomical prices as buyers from all over the globe bid ruthlessly vying for this rare treasure. Hmmmmmm
Did you know I have the reputation of bidding ruthlessly on eBay? It was also reputed that I bid on items that I already owned just to win them so no

NEVER ON SUNDAY –
Got another nice mention on the Forgotten Hits website — which, by the way, is fast becoming one of my favorites. Here’s the direct link: Bandstand’s Best Mention.
Along with that I have been receiving such wonderful posts and emails from Susan Selikson who, along with her sister, Selma, were frequent visitors to the show. They knew many of the Regulars, and American Bandstand Regular Joyce
